Join us for the fifth chapter of the Sussex Women Supper Club; an occasional series of events celebrating the life and times of notable women and non-binary people who have lived and worked in Sussex.
Our subject this time is Isobel Smith; a performance artist, sculptor and therapist who lives and works in East Sussex.
She completed her MA in Sculpture/Performance at Royal College of Art in 2017 and is a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors. Isobel has performed at Tate Modern and her work is in the Saatchi Collection.
Please remember that the Sussex Women Supper Club is generally about women but not exclusively for them. Everyone is welcome to join us, no matter how you choose to define yourself. Please do join us. We think you'll like it and we'd love to see you.
How the evening goes:
7.00 - supper clubbers arrive and dinner is served in the Art Room
7.30 - talk only ticket holders arrive. Bar and refreshments
8.00 - Isobel's talk commences in the hall
8.45 - Q&A
9.30 - close
Proceeds from the evening will help to support the work of Hospitable Environment CIC, a socially engaged community arts organisation based in Newhaven, East Sussex. We explore what it takes to create safe, happy and sustainable communities by gathering people together around shared food and creative experiences.
Many hands. If you'd like to join the crew for the evening and help with all the tasks (there are a lot!) in exchange for your food and a seat at the talk, please email us at hello@hospitable-environment.com.
